If you click on David Hoffman's Instagram you see photos from many countries of the world. The pandemic closed the borders for many, and he chose to visit Albania for the first time, given the fact that Albania kept its borders open to the Americans. Staying in Tirana, David told how he felt when he decided to travel and had the plan before.

Yesterday I traveled for the first time in five months from my hometown Miami to the capital of Albania, Tirana. Albania is part of the Balkans, which are the countries that make up Southeast Europe. Albania has been on my list that I wanted to visit and is already one of the few countries open to American citizens, without restrictions. I was very nervous when I planned the trip, as the borders for Americans everywhere were closed. But finally I took a deep breath and found myself in Tirana. Over the next 14 days I will explore every inch of Albania.

After the first post, David has published photos from different Albanian cities, lunch at Isren Shehu's Ceren, Kruja Castle, photos with dishes, clothes with the Albanian flag, photos in Shkodra and everywhere he has violated so far. His tour is not over yet. See the posts below.

Today was my first full day in Albania ?? I spent the day exploring the capital city, Tirana. My guides from @balkanpearlstouroperator and I started with an incredible Albanian breakfast (including rakija, fergese, and trahana!) at @ceren_ismet_shehu before we visited some of the local sites. Then, we checked out @komitetibar to have a flight of yummy rakijas, including a ? one! Then, for lunch, we went to @ceren_ismet_shehu’s main restaurant in the nearby town of Surrel for some insane smoked meats, rakija, and wine! Next was a pottery workshop in the village of Farke and the awesome @lafattoriaagrofarm on Lake Farke, where I met some adorable bunnies and farm animals. We had an incredible Albanian feast there, including more fergese, yufka, and fried cornbread in yogurt ? I’m still drooling thinking about it! I am already in love with this country, especially its food and its people! I can’t wait to share these episodes with you guys soon!
