Why do Disney characters not have mothers?
Most families are unfulfilled at Disney. Usually mothers are absent, especially those of the protagonists.
Since Bambi, Cinderella, Snow White, Anna and Elsa, Rapunzel and Beauty, either do not have or lose their mothers at the beginning of the story. Because of this, the characters are raised by their fathers, sometimes even by stepmothers. Be it all a coincidence? Jo.
One answer comes from Don Hahn who says: Disney movies are made to grow. And the absence of the mother, who takes care of everything, increases. Not having a mother nearby adds more responsibilities. It makes you create your own story, ahead of time, more painful.
Another theory is the fact that Walt Disney had lost his mother early. Perhaps in the characters he created he personified himself.
