I love to eat! Okay?! Bebe Rexha's reaction to comments on her weight along with a piece of advice
Bebe Rexha is more determined than ever to double down on body positivity.
The 33-year-old singer joined Jennifer Hudson on her eponymous show and revealed that she too fell for the trap of reading comments on a video that touched on her body image. She pleaded with people to never judge "because you don't know what someone is going through".
Bebe Rexha, who revealed she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) last year, says this has been a key factor in her weight gain. The singer admitted that she has put on weight, but she can't understand why people still pay so much attention to weight these days.
"I read the comments on one of my videos. Rule number 1, that's one thing you shouldn't do. Don't read them! I'm not mad about it, because it's true, but it's just when you see things like that, it upsets you. ... because I don't know what anyone is going through. It's 2023. Shouldn't we stop talking about people's weight."
"I like to eat, ok?"
Hudson shot back, "There's nothing wrong."
The singer then discussed her PCOS diagnosis.
"I went to the doctor last year -- and many women actually have this but don't know it. I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is polycystic ovary syndrome and is one of the main reasons why women gain weight," says Rexha.
"I've put on 13kg in a short time, maybe a bit more. But we just have to be positive. And just give people love."
