Invited to a podcast recently, the British artist Lily Allen has told about the reasons that made her move to America.
"The reason I moved here is because I think it's a more encouraging environment in which my children could thrive. And I think an example of that would be when I decided to do a theater piece for you even though I had never acted and had no theater experience. When I told the Americans about it, they said, 'Oh my God, this is going to be very exciting, you're going to learn a lot, you're going to excel. While when I told the British people they said 'Theatre!! Have you done it before? Are you scared?". I mean, culturally we are very different", she said.
