The world-famous singer, Tina Turner, has passed away today, at the age of 83.
"Tina Turner, the 'Queen of Rock'n Roll' died today at the age of 83 after a long illness at her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. With him, the world loses a musical legend and a role model," the spokesperson said in a statement.
The US-born star was one of rock's most popular singers, known for her stage presence and a string of hits including The Best, Proud Mary, Private Dancer and What's Love Got To Do With It.
