Bruno Mars has built his career on creating good music and perfecting one key skill: honesty.
The Grammy-winning artist, 37, tells CNBC that learning to trust his soul and cultivating extreme self-discipline has helped him succeed in music and business.
"Whatever you're doing you just have to be honest - that's really become the most important thing for me in my career," Mars explains. “So if I'm writing a song, I have to be sure that it's the best I can do, deep down in my soul, and that I haven't taken any shortcuts. I have to really believe in what I'm doing to make it work."
