Angelina tells how her 5-year separation with Brad has affected her career in Hollywood
It has been five years since Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced the end of their marriage. The actress has spoken openly to 'Harper's Bazaar' how their split affected her career in Hollywood.
"I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that didn't allow me to direct for a few years. I needed to do part-time work and stay home longer, so I came back again. "doing some acting work. That's the truth of it all," Jolie says.
From her behind-the-scenes position with directing films like Unbroken in 2014 and First They Killed My Father in 2017, 45-year-old actress Jolie will appear on screen this year with roles in the films: 'Those Who Wish Me Dead' and 'Marvel's Eternals'.
Angelina and Brad have been dealing with divorce proceedings for years, due to the legal battle for custody of their children, which has started since 2016.
The actress claimed last August that the judge dealing with the case, John W. Ouderkirk had ongoing business and professional relationships with Pitt, which according to Jolie favors her ex-husband. The legal battle continues even though the judge says everything his client (Brad Pitt) demands is a fair trial.
The former couple are the parents of six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.
The children currently live with Angelina Jolie, while Pitt's father visits them as the court has ordered.
