Amber testifies in court: Depp hit me that I laughed at his tattoo
Yesterday it was Amber Heard's turn to testify in court. She described the first time she was hit by Johnny Depp.
Her lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, asked Heard to recall the first time Depp physically hit her.
Heard revealed that she and Depp were having a normal conversation on the couch, at the beginning of their relationship, when asked about the tattoo on his arm that was hard to read. When he explained, she laughed, Depp hit her.
"It was such a common situation. I just laughed because I thought he was joking. And he hit me in the face. I laughed because I did not know what else to do. I thought, 'This must be a joke'. ... I did not know what was happening. I just saw him, still laughing, thinking that he too would start laughing to tell me it was a joke. But he did not. "It was clear it was no longer a joke."
"I wish he had said he was joking. I did not want to leave. I did not want this to be a reality. You can not hit a woman, you can not hit a man. You can not hit anyone. I knew it was wrong. And I knew I had to leave. And that's what broke my heart. "I would like to say here now that I got up and left that house," said Heard.
Heard said Depp then started crying, and begged her to stay on her knees: “I will never do that again. "I'm very sorry, honey."
Depp, who was previously asked about the tattoo incident, said: "I never hit Mrs. Heard. I have never hit any woman in my life. "I will certainly not hit a woman if she decides to make fun of a tattoo I have on her body."
