Since this diet eliminates high-sugar foods, it certainly helps in weight loss, but many healthy fruits are at the highest end of the glycemic index scale, but are good for health. The Paleo Diet
This diet has gained tremendous popularity recently and says that eating foods that were only available to cavemen would help them lose weight. This diet limits the consumption of whole grains and is therefore not recommended.
