Why do the Japanese not drink water during bread?

Are you in the group of those who do not have enough mouth water while consuming the meal? Are you in the group that puts all the cans on the table? Not to push the bite without accompanying it with water?

If you go to Japan you will have to eat the meal without accompanying it with water. They act differently from the western world. Do not consume water during meals for several reasons:

Water during meals can dry out the mouth and tongue

As contradictory as it may sound, drinking a glass of water with your meal can dry out your saliva. Because saliva is healthy for your oral environment, having a dry mouth can lead to several unpleasant symptoms, including bad breath.

May impair digestion

When you drink water with your meal, the saliva dilutes. This affects the release of stomach fluids responsible for digestion. As a result, your stomach receives weaker signals to break down food, which can lead to bloating.

Slows down the absorption of nutrients

Because drinking water during meals dilutes your digestive fluids, this affects the natural acidity level of your stomach. This negatively affects your digestive system and causes your body to absorb less vitamins and nutrients.

May cause heartburn

Increases pressure in the stomach and stimulates the reaction of chain reactions, including heartburn.

May cause weight gain

When your body cannot digest food well enough, it converts it into fat, causing you to gain more weight.
