Migraine is the sixth most prevalent disease in the world, often the most underestimated. 40% of those who suffer from Migraine pain do not get an accurate diagnosis. Most of their problems are justified by the sentence "headache".

Specialists are seeking the establishment of Migraine Relief Chambers in the workplace. A small room where the tone of the wall paint is light. Where darkness prevails. Where there is a bed, a pillow to rest on.

But what exactly is this underestimated disease?

It is a neurological disease characterized by recurrent episodes of headache with an intensity ranging from moderate to severe. Symptoms include pain, usually throbbing but also nausea, vomiting, hypersensitivity to light, sound and wind.

Migraine manifests itself in four distinct stages:

Prodromes, or signals that 'warn' us about impending migraine: such as cravings for sweets, mood swings, thirst and stiff neck.

Aura, typical visual neurological disorders: glowing lights, zigzag lines or a temporary loss of vision.

Stage headache stage: this is the concrete migraine attack, which can last from 4 to 72 hours.

Postdromo: the final stage in which some people experience hangover-like symptoms, with poor concentration and mental fog.

Migraines affect 1 in 10 people worldwide, and 90% of them say they are unable to work or perform normal daily activities at the time of the crisis. 51% of patients experience a 50% reduction in productivity at school or work, losing 10% of work days due to headache crises.

But migraine is also a gender-based disease. Migraines affect almost twice as many women.
