US abolishes visas for Balkan country, citizens can now travel only with passport
The US has decided to abolish visas for Croatian citizens, giving them the opportunity to travel to the United States only with a passport, without the need to apply for a visa. The announcement was made by the US Embassy in Zagreb.
"This day has come too. "Congratulations Croatia on the official membership in the Visa Waiver Program," reads a Facebook post of the US Embassy in Croatia.
This decision came into force on October 23rd and applies to Croatian citizens who want to visit the US for tourism or business and can stay no longer than 90 days.
