Saranda, the first voice of Kosovo in the parliamentary assembly of the Council

The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Saranda Bogujevci, was the first voice from Kosovo to be heard in the hall of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Bogujevci, who is a survivor of the war in Kosovo, said during her speech that her country stands by Ukraine.

"I would like to tell my colleagues from Ukraine, but also from all of Europe, that our thoughts, hearts and prayers are with you. We know what you are going through. I myself am a survivor of the massacre during the war in Kosovo and we will always stand with you in this war and hope that this terrible war will end. We, as Kosovo and all the countries of the Western Balkans, are Europe and there can be no other future than being in the European family. We, in every decision we make, always think about how these decisions will affect the future of our generations, of our children", said Bogujevci.
