Second round of elections in Northern Macedonia. In votes over 14%
The second round of Local Elections is being held in Northern Macedonia. So far there have been no incidents. There are only a few technical problems due to fingerprint identification, known as "fingerprint".
"The reasons where there was an interruption have to do with the lack of signal for activation of the biometric device. In some polling stations there were interruptions for more than an hour, while the voting continued with the old method until the use of biometric devices ", declared the chairman of the State Election Commission (SEC), Aleksandar Dashtevski.
By 11:00 in the morning, 14.18% of eligible voters went to the polls. The highest turnout is in the municipalities of Rankovce (38.2%) while the lowest in Saraj, Skopje is 5.19%.
In the first round, on October 17, 34 mayors were elected, as well as municipal assemblies of all 80 municipalities. The second round is held for municipalities that are in the runoff.
