Greece tightens holiday arrangements, new condition for passing customs
After Italy, Greece has also strengthened measures against the spread of coronavirus on the eve of the end-of-year holidays.
The Ministry of Health in Greece announced today that all persons who will enter the country from 19 December at 06:00 must have a negative test of the last 48 hours regardless of whether they have the vaccination certificate.
Excluded from the measure are passengers who have been out of the country for less than 48 hours as they will have done the PCR test shortly before departure. The measure will take effect from Sunday 19/12 at 06:00.
This decision of the Greek Ministry of Health is directly related to the cases of the Omicron variant and the movements on the eve of Christmas will increase.
