Erdogan accuses Greece: They mistreat and kill refugees
Turkish President Erdogan has issued new accusations against Greece.
Speaking at a refugee conference in Istanbul, Erdogan accused Greek authorities of robbing, beating, persecuting and even killing refugees.
"Recently, almost 30,000 migrants, mostly women and children, have lost their lives in the Mediterranean. The whereabouts of tens of thousands of Syrian children fleeing to Europe are unknown. "Almost every day we witness the plight of refugees persecuted, robbed, beaten and killed by the Greek Security Forces," said the Turkish president.
Athens responded to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's accusations of mistreatment of refugees by stressing that "Greece responds with actions that save lives at sea."
