Greece has woken up with strong earthquake tremors today. An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale was recorded on the island of Crete. Greek media report that the epicenter of the earthquake was 37 kilometers southwest of Arbit with a focal depth of 45 km.
According to reports, the tremors were intense and were felt as far as Egypt. There is still no record of any casualties or major property damage.
