Mayor Erion Veliaj from Unit 3 has announced that just like the student card, a social card for the elderly will be created.
"As we have the student card, the time has come to make a social card for the elderly. The visible hand of the government and the municipality in this case is more efficient when it intervenes in the most vulnerable parts of society, such as students and the elderly. We are at the point where we are doing some calculations if it is time to offer the same package to the elderly: that is, free public transport, or even some services such as canteens, theater, operas, museums, which can be provided at reduced prices for this age group, which is more vulnerable, but every time there is a big crisis, it is even more difficult than others", said Veliaj.
Asked what he suggests to young people to study, Veliaj said that it is enough for them to focus on the future.
