The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj hosted the Deputy Minister of Culture and Youth of the United Arab Emirates, Mubarak Al Nakhi, with whom he discussed new investments in the capital.
"I am glad that for the next 100 or so years, the name of the United Emirates will always be associated with Tirana, thanks to the New Boulevard and the river of Tirana. More than road infrastructure or physical infrastructure, human infrastructure is more important. I believe that here too we have something to learn from the Emirates, about the way the centers, the free economic zones, the finance and technology zones have been developed, examples that we want to follow. We want the New Boulevard area to be an area dedicated to finance and technology. Also, we will have cooperation between universities and schools, or our sports teams. I believe that, indeed, our best days are ahead, even though today we have an excellent relationship and I can't wait to do even more", said Veliaj.
