The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj held a conversation with entrepreneurs of guesthouses and agrotourism in the capital. "One of the commitments we have made is to finally give Tirana a new agri-food market, which we just presented. For the first time we have something like this for agriculture. In AgroPark Tirana, which we want to open very soon - with 100% of seats booked - we have also reserved a space for fairs, also for small farmers, but also for inns that want to advertise their business. We followed an example that we saw in Bologna, where the big wholesalers come together, those who have an infinity of greenhouses and hectares of production, but also the small ones, who have a sales and purchase ratio, but also learn from each other", said Veliaj .

Veliaj added that the opening of this market will lower the prices and will put an end to abuses by wholesalers. "What will happen is that the prices will decrease significantly. By reducing these fees and taking it to a public market, which does not aim at profit, but the administration of that space, we have calculated that we will have a 70% reduction of all fees in the market. I know we live in capitalism - I am not against the private sector, you are all private operators - but I believe that the state can make the facilitation of an activity much easier by removing the profit. Therefore, I believe that breaking this private monopoly that we had in Kashar creates more alternatives", he said.

The mayor also said that some products in some areas need to be promoted, and for this he gave the idea of ??a holiday calendar for each product.
