The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has thanked the fire service, emergency and police teams for the immediate response to save the lives of the residents of the building that was involved in the fire on "Sali Butka" street.
Through a post on social networks, Veliaj said that he asked to immediately start the investigation into the source of the fire. He assured the injured families that they will be helped by the Municipality of Tirana.
"Thank you to the fire, emergency and police teams for their quick response to save people - life is more important than anything - and put out the fire in Nj. 7, Tirana! I have asked the team to immediately start the investigation on the source of the fire! Currently, every equipment space in the building is being inspected! As always, the Municipality of Tirana will help with a grant every family that has damage to furniture and electrical appliances! The operation continues," writes Veliaj.
