In the area near the Student City, all the alleys are being systematized, in which lighting will also be installed. The municipality of Tirana is also intervening in this neighborhood of the city as part of the latest action in the units of the capital. Mayor Erion Veliaj, who inspected in the late evening the work being done in this area with the paving of every road, said that all the residents benefit from these interventions, especially the children, who will go to the new schools, as "Bashkim Fino", without setting foot in the mud.
"I am very happy that we are working here because the entire area of the Student City, especially the part between the Water Depot and the "Bashkim Fino" school, has been a bit like a 'no man's land', neither rural nor urban, which has grown well after the 90s. But our priority was building the school. I know we all say 'yes to the road, yes to the alley', but children are a priority: daycare, kindergarten, school. Now that we have graduated from the "Bashkim Fino" school, we want the children not to touch the mud because I believe that every child in Tirana should have equal chances", said Veliaj.
