The Ukrainian city of Lviv will be the European Youth Capital for 2025

The Municipality of Tirana handed over the title of the European Youth Capital for 2022 yesterday evening through a ceremony held at the Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has handed over to the Ukrainian city of Lviv the title that our capital held throughout this year, which marked over 1000 activities centered on young people from all over Europe.
"Neighbors matter! Neighbors matter to us when they are in a building, if they are the ones who surround us at school, at work, but they matter more if they are the countries that surround us. As we experience a war in Europe, like this one in Ukraine, brutal aggression, we all understand that we should not take our neighbors for granted," said Veliaj during his speech.
Four were the finalist cities for the title of the next European Youth Capital: Izmir, Fuenlabrada, Tromso and Lviv.
