The municipality names 4 streets in Tirana with the names of the policemen

In the summer of 2009, police officers Fatos Xhani, Kastriot Feska, Saimir Duçkollari and Altin Dizdari would lose their lives in the line of duty in the action to arrest Dritan Dajti near the "Iliria" beach in Durrës.

The Municipality of Tirana has decided to honor the 4 martyrs of the homeland by naming 4 new streets in the capital as an appreciation for their sublime sacrifice to guarantee the implementation of the law.
The news was announced by the Mayor Erion Veliaj at today's meeting of the Municipal Council.

"From the Director of the Police of the Republic of Albania, Gledis Nano, we have received a proposal to name in the capital a crossroads with 4 streets on behalf of the four Police Martyrs who fell in an action. It has been an action that is still talked about and still has discussions. These police officers fell into an action to catch a criminal organization. It is a new junction in Unit 1, where there is a large rotation circle, where we have made a new Lana expansion investment. It will be these 4 axes that coincide in this new intersection that will take the names of these four martyrs of the homeland ", said Veliaj.

He added that their mission will be eternally remembered as an example of courage and will, to the point of self-sacrifice, for the common good and for a high ideal, such as the fight against crime and evil.
