The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, inspected during the evening the works for the asphalting of the "Jashar Erebara" road in Unit 8. He said that when the name of this road was mentioned, the mind went to floods, but now the situation has changed and thanks to the investments of the municipality, the value of property in the area has increased significantly.
"I used to hear the 'Jashar Erebara' road every time I received reports of flooding because the river water was returning from the sewers. Today it will be known as the road parallel to the "New Boulevard" of Tirana. "New Boulevard", as the main street and artery of the city, will undergo the biggest developments. There we plan to have the Museum of Modern Art, but also a convention center. The 'Palace of Congresses' is always busy all year round, so we need more spaces like this. We want to bring these two spaces to the 'New Boulevard', in addition to the new town hall building. At the end of the boulevard, we are building new neighborhoods for the families affected by the earthquake, meanwhile, already at the beginning of the "Jashar Erebara" street, new urban planning interventions can be seen," said Veliaj.
