Video, Rama is declared an Honorary Citizen in the Calabrian town of Arbëresh
Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is continuing today, the second day of his visit to Calabria, was honored with the honorary citizen title of Vaccarizzo Albanese, in the country where Arbëresh culture is a precious stone of history and tradition.
Rama was received in a special welcoming ceremony by the Mayor, Antonio Pomillo, who handed him the title.
"It is a solemn gesture that shows the deep connection with the Arber community," said Pomillo.
"I thank everyone for this very warm reception, which honestly makes us feel at home," said Rama.
Then the Prime Minister, accompanied by his wife Linda, visited the Arbëresh Costume Museum, where traditional Albanian clothing such as jubleta, clothes from Zadrima, Vlora, etc. are exhibited.
