Veliaj meets in the USA two former American ambassadors, Marcie Ries and

The Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj has met in the USA and the two former American ambassadors who served in Albania, Marcie Ries and Alex Arvizu.

In a post on social networks, Veliaj expressed his gratitude to two former American diplomats for the work they have done in our country.

"What a pleasure to be reunited with former Amb. Marcie Ries and Alex Arvizu. Marcie believed in our group of MJAFT activists when we were unknown and protesting injustices. And Alex stood by us in the dark days of January 21 and the following events. Forever grateful to you", emphasizes Veliaj.
Marcie Ries served in our country as ambassador from 2005 to 2007, while former ambassador Aleksandër Arvizu remained in office from 2010 to January 11, 2015.
