There is no compensation for those who did not get even 1% in the elections, fine who did not submit the report
At today's meeting, the Central Election Commission formally determined the value of a valid vote in the April 25 elections, calculated according to the funds allocated to the parties. The value of a valid vote of an Albanian citizen is 85 new lek.
The head of the Central Election Commission also indicated that no party involved in the election will receive financial compensation.
He showed the balance sheet of political parties that have submitted annual financial reports. It turns out that 106 parties, out of a total of 131 have submitted this report, while 4 others have submitted it outside the set deadline.
For this reason, for these 4 parties, a fine of 150 thousand old lekë was imposed, while for the parties that did not submit this report, a fine of 1 million lekë was imposed.
"The second point has to do with the post-election financial compensation. Political parties that have been registered as electoral subjects have received advance funds for the April 25 elections, there are 10 political parties. For a party to be compensated after the election it must exceed this 1%.
The parties that did not receive funding are three, the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, the Legality Movement Party and the Union for Human Rights Party. These three parties had to pass 1%, none of them passed to get over 15 thousand votes. For this reason they are not compensated. Based on Article 19 in letters K and M, decides not to distribute post-election financial compensation to any political party participating in the April 25 elections. This decision enters into force immediately, and this decision can be appealed to the KAS.There are 106 parties that have not submitted financial reports within the deadline, even at the moment we are talking about have not submitted it. 4 of them submitted it, but after the deadline. We impose a fine in the amount of 1 million ALL for political parties that have not submitted the financial report. A fine in the amount of 15 thousand ALL for the political parties that have submitted the report after the deadline ", said Celibashi in the meeting.
