The presidency reacts after the approval of the Commission of Inquiry for the

President Ilir Meta does not recognize the decision of the Assembly, which approved a few minutes ago the establishment of the Commission of Inquiry for his dismissal, accusing him of violating constitutional principles during and after the April 25 election campaign. In a press statement, spokesman Teddy Blushi said that the president will exercise his constitutional functions until July 24, 2022 and that he will no longer tolerate any kind of intimidation.

Statement by Spokesperson Teddy Blushi:

The President regrets that the Assembly rejected the opportunity given by him to return to the rails of the constitution and the law. In these circumstances, I inform that the institution of the president will not recognize any unconstitutional and illegal decision or activity of the one-party Assembly in office as well as the decisions of any other puppet institution of this kleptocratic regime.

Any product of a fictitious and illegal parliamentary process that contradicts the principles and values of our democratic society does not deserve attention and is null. No one can hide even behind ethics and rhetoric and that this is a matter of sovereignty.

Meta knows what happened and is very clear on the plan for what will happen. We guarantee the citizens that in respect of his oath with his hand on the Constitution of the Republic, President Ilir Meta will exercise responsibility as he has done so far all constitutional functions until July 24, 2022 and will no longer tolerate any intimidation of the institution of the president by local regional and international mafia.
