Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted to the arrest of the General Secretary of the Ministry of Health, who was imprisoned by order of SPAK for corruption. During his speech at the thank-you meeting in Tirana, Rama said that it is terrible for officials to fall to such a level by taking money.
"At this point, it is imperative that we really think about how to repay this huge debt to a certain extent, because we cannot repay everything. It is too much when people give such trust. A few hours ago I heard about a situation that makes you extremely embarrassed, a general secretary who was caught red-handed taking money. How can this happen? Of course, the nice side of this medal is that it captures a person who is unworthy to hold a public office. I can't wish for more people to do things like this, because it's a serious thing. The lack of sense of patriotism, of ethics, to stoop to this kind of level in an important task is appalling. Here we have opened this pandora's box ourselves", said Rama.
