Rama: We will completely abolish customs tariffs with Kosovo
The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, a day before the joint meeting of the two governments of Albania and Kosovo in Pristina, stated that the Albanian side will remove all customs tariffs with Kosovo, starting from agricultural products.
"Together with the Minister [Frida Krifca] we were talking about increasing cooperation and the complete merging of all obstacles on the border with Kosovo, even when it comes to agricultural products. This is A. We plan to abolish all customs duties with Kosovo. We want it to become bilateral with the Government of Kosovo, but we will do it. We will remove the tariffs for anything that will come from Kosovo, except for the scanning because it is inherited and does not move, but in all the rest there will be no tariffs for all those who will export from Kosovo to "Albania", said Rama during a visit today in a company of production of flour and wheat with the highest quality in Kosovo.
He called on the Kosovo government to do the same. "Conversely, the government of Kosovo should do the same, but if the government of Kosovo wants more time to study it, we will do it anyway, because we want to have it without tariffs for the Open Balkans and no longer for Kosovo, it is meaningless." said Rama.
