President Begaj receives Prime Minister Kurti: the Ohrid Agreement is one more guarantee for peace and the future of the countries of the region

The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj received today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, with whom he discussed the latest developments in the negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia.
President Begaj, after being informed in detail about the negotiations with Serbia, led by the European Union and supported by the United States of America, welcomed the leadership, prudence and courage shown by Prime Minister Kurti and the negotiating team of the Republic of Kosovo, for to accept the European plan, as well as to sign and implement it.
Focusing on the outcome of the Ohrid meeting, on March 18, 2023, President Begaj assessed that the public agreement and commitment of the parties to implement the European plan for the normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia and the relevant annex, as an integral part of it it is one more guarantee for the peace, stability and future of the countries of the region in the European Union.
President Begaj also expressed the belief that the commitment taken by the parties in Ohrid will be fully respected, while the appropriate mechanisms will be found to turn this public agreement into a binding and applicable agreement for the parties internationally.
