PD worse than in '97, Nishani: Basha is discredited if I am fired by the Council
The current head of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Bujar Nishani, continues with the criticism of the leadership of the Democratic Party but also of the party in general, saying that the situation in which he is currently is the most critical of this political force.
In an interview with ABC News, Nishani said that today the DP has deep divisions:
"DP today has a very deep and big rift. There is a great loss of trust in public opinion and the people who make it up. "If the DP does not find its way to political growth, to expand the base of access to public opinion, it will continue to lose the opportunity to be an alternative to power."
In the first 10 days of August, Basha is expected to convene the Party Assembly again regarding the members of the presidency and the secretaries. Nishani reminds Basha that he has a 4-year term at the head of the council and that any decision that Basha can take, even for his expulsion, would discredit him more.
"I was elected by the national council for a 4-year term. "Basha can make any political decision, but this will discredit him more . "
