Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has declared that Donald Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize if he manages to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Through a post on social networks, Salvini writes that if Trump manages to stop this conflict that has lasted for more than 2 years, then he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.
"President-elect Donald Trump should receive the Nobel Peace Prize if he manages to end the conflict between Russia. In addition to saving lives, it would bring us a more peaceful future than what the Democrats have left us until now".
Trump has promised during the campaign that he would end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office. The Russian Foreign Ministry has reported through the Interfax agency that Moscow and Washington are exchanging signals about Ukraine through closed channels.
