The Constitutional Court suspends the decision for the local elections of June 30! It will be addressed to the Venice Commission
The Constitutional Court has suspended the decision on the lawsuit filed by the mayor of Shkodra, Voltana Ademi for the annulment of the local elections of June 30 as unconstitutional.
The highest judicial body in the country, after being acquainted with the files, has said that it will turn to the Venice Commission to give a legally and politically informed opinion to then decide on the case.
Earlier, the Constitutional Court had rejected the government's request that the decision-making be suspended until the issue of Voltana Ademi's status as president of the Association of Albanian Municipalities was resolved.
