Albania-Kosovo cooperation creates panic in Serbia, People's Party reacts: they are working to create a greater Albania

Albania-Kosovo cooperation creates panic in Serbia, People's Party reacts:

Cooperation between the governments of Albania and Kosovo on Friday, in Elbasan, seems to have aroused panic among Serbian political actors. In particular, Serbs seem concerned about Prime Minister Edi Rama's confirmation that he would vote openly in favor of a peaceful referendum on Albania's unification with Kosovo.

The People's Party has asked this Monday the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to react urgently to the statement of the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, to vote for the unification of Albania and self-proclaimed Kosovo, Serbian media report.

The Serbian government has not reacted to the 13 agreements signed by Albania and the authorities in Pristina, including the agreement on the abolition of border control, said in a written statement the party's secretary general, Stefan Jovanovic.

He noted that while authorities in Tirana and Pristina "are actively working to create a greater Albania", authorities in Belgrade are voting on Albania's membership in the United Nations Security Council, as well as on the development of an "alliance" with Albania through the Open Balkans project.

"We expect an urgent diplomatic and political response from the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia," Jovanovic added.

We recall that on November 26, during a joint conference with his counterpart Albin Kurti, Prime Minister Rama answered with humorous questions the question of journalists how he will vote if a referendum is held for the unification of Albania with Kosovo.

"Is this the question or the provocation?" Now if you ask me the hypothesis of a peaceful referendum on the unification of Albania with Kosovo, I would vote openly in favor. Now if you ask me if this will happen, I am provoking you and I say it will happen, I do not know when it will happen, how or when, but that this will happen one day I say yes. Those who come out and shout about Greater Albania, I tell you that fortune tellers are not judged to be a fortune teller. "If I were to cast a fortune and in this case I am throwing it with imagination, I am saying that it will happen", said Rama in the joint conference with Albin Kurti, after the meeting of the two governments.

Then, when asked if this would happen without fortune, but in reality, the Prime Minister replied: “Without fortune, I put the fortune in the middle for the translator and for those who will come out to say the world will be overthrown, the Albanians will invade us. "Help me and you say that the fortune teller's voice spoke."

The question about the Prime Minister came after the statements of Albin Kurti a few days ago, who spoke about a referendum on the unification of Albania with Kosovo and that was badly received by Belgrade.
