Why will Kosovo never forget the past?

Why will Kosovo never forget the past?

By Enver Robelli /"Forget the past," say some politicians from Tirana. Analysts from Pristina come up with medical diagnoses for Kosovo society: they call him sick! Isolated but noisy voices on social media flatly accuse all Kosovo journalists because they are not critical enough of political elites. There is no place in the region where journalists have criticized the political class more harshly than in Kosovo. There is evidence for this. I am talking about journalists, not mercenaries. So, dear attempted cosmopolitans, attempted globalists, attempted globalists - an important rule of journalism is this: do not generalize. And especially do not remember with a certain pseudo-colonialist-western attitude against "local tribes" and "local journalists". People in Kosovo are not incapable of thinking for themselves.

People see. When an Albanian politician or court analyst in Tirana says "forget the past", Serbia takes care to expose the Albanian politician and his militant supporters to the world.

Here is what Serbia is doing to forget the past:

- Fans of the football club "Partizani" in Belgrade in the match against "Novi Pazar" shout: "Nož, žica, Srebrenica", a chauvinist slogan that justifies the genocide of Serbian forces in Srebrenica. The players from Novi Pazar, mostly Bosniaks, leave the match. Serbian politicians do not condemn the chauvinist slogan calling for a repeat of the mass killing of Bosniaks.

Sepse e vërteta mbytet, me çdo mjet.

E parlamenti i Shqipërisë?

Shouts "forget the past", "art unites peoples", etc. are not only cynical, but also insulting to Kosovo Albanians. Kosovo does not want to force anyone in Albania to show solidarity with the suffering of the Albanian people in Kosovo. Nor can it do so, it is everyone's conscience. But Kosovo will oppose anyone when victims are insulted in the name of some kind of "regional co-operation" by ignoring the main problem: Serbia's refusal to recognize Kosovo's citizenship.
