An open process in time

An open process in time

While the Commission of Inquiry has identified cases which it considers legal violations by the president in his public appearances during the election campaign, the issue seems to have remained within these limits. The President was again invited to give his explanations to the committee, but instead the President's letter arrived at the Presidency of the Assembly. The attitude remains the same. Meta regards the investigation process as a constitutional coup to seize the presidency. The investigation is called ordered and as political revenge and further a number of reasons have been listed that according to the president this commission should not function. Among the first arguments is that this parliament does not have in its composition the real opposition and as such does not have the morale to review the investigation against him. Anyway, Although this element may be a flaw in the reasons raised by the president, it is a fact that even the opposition that is still on the streets and not in parliament, has not had any position regarding the investigation that is being done by the current assembly timelines of its own legitimacy. The DP has been very indifferent regarding the president, where although it is dealing with its internal issues regarding the fate of its leader, it has not found any time to express itself with the activity of the current Assembly and the Commission of Inquiry set up for the dismissal of Meta. Even the SMI itself has remained in retreat, but not because it has left its former historical leader alone, but because perhaps the honor of the defense was asked by the former allies of the DP to play it. However, what stands out is that the media itself lazily follows the issue of the investigation against the president. It seems that public opinion itself has no interest in either the issue of the commission of inquiry or the fate of the president himself. Probably because this is not the first commission set up against him, or because the dismissal procedure does not belong only to the Assembly but also to the Constitutional Court. In all cases, then, it seems an open process in time.
