Two years since the burning of mandates that burned the opposition

By Plator Nesturi / Yesterday was the second anniversary when the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulezim Basha, announced the burning of the mandates of the opposition, causing its deputies but also the SMI and other allies, to leave the parliament starting a cycle of protests aimed at creating a provisional government and new early elections. It was a sui generis movement, unprecedented anywhere in the democratic world, harshly criticized by the international community, but stubbornly defended by the leaders of the united opposition as a way to overthrow Rama and push for solutions from the street as the only formula for them. catapulted the minority towards power. This anniversary passed quietly by the opposition. And it seems no one wants to remember it. Neither from PD, nor from LSI and from anyone else who followed Basha on the streets, while leaving the institutions and entering adventurism, thinking that with street pressure they would replace the power of votes in elections. For a long time, the Western world had not seen, since Mussolini's formula of the "March on Rome", the imposition to take power, so the most important factors and friends of Albania condemned this path, calling for political life in democracy. should be turned into institutions, from where parliament is its central temple. The opposition tried to pass this day in silence as it could not even have the courage to apologize to its electorate for a political blunder once announced with so much fanfare, but also for an exhausting adventure of protests that lasted for over a year. But all this had a bill.

However, what impresses in all that has happened and is happening in the conditions of an electoral campaign present, are the relations between the PD leadership and its allies. We must understand that two years ago, Basha put in the dead end not simply the party he leads, but the whole entourage of what constitutes the united opposition. And in this case, the SMI withdrew to the streets, which, however, with the results of the last two elections could no longer be considered either as a vassal party or as a small one. Realistically, the inclusion of all small parties in a row, including the SMI, while historically in the agreements with Rama has introduced small parties, it is surprising when you think that Basha has achieved this. The current DP leader is thought to be weaker than Berisha. but this funfit nevertheless did not treat the allies in such conditions of vassality, and a little less SMI. This fact is so interesting that it makes you think that either Basha had excellent persuasive skills in the allies, or the allies themselves think that they can make better use of Basha's weakness by staying close to them. However, convincing ability or to make excellent deals with Rama, Basha himself has not proved. It was even the small allies themselves who complained about the constitutional changes, as well as the electoral code, but also other formulas that remained in the texts of unbleached agreements, their interests were damaged, and that both the big parties, SP and PD, have played according to their interests and to the detriment of others. But again, even after the complaints, the small allies have again lined up to the wishes of the DP. And this also happens with the SMI, which is exactly where it has the largest number of mandates won, introduces itself as a vassal party, which it had done even when it was with four deputies. Perhaps this is the reason for the leak phenomenon that has affected this party. The loss of identity as a left-wing party, however distinct from the SP, the addition of PD policies that turn out to be wrong and adventurous, the disrespect of the contributions of various leaders on behalf of the space for young people selected for use, has caused local leaders and incumbents, members and electorate who once supported the SMI, to leave it. And these votes go again in the direction they come from, whoever comes from the left goes towards the SP, and the feeds of the last elections, return as votes in the DP. Seen from this perspective, these choices are interesting. There have been so many events and movements during this term that it is difficult to imagine that the predictions for the votes will be based on the results of the last elections. The performance of different parties has followed different trajectories in terms of normalcy, but often in different directions. After all, mistakes are the ones that punish. Therefore, while the consumerism in power was thought of as a significant difficulty for the majority, the political mistakes made by the leader of the Democratic Party in these two years were so severe that they eliminated any consumption. PD blunder but passed as a bill to the entire opposition, as no one from the opposition managed to take advantage of Basha's mistake, so that the votes could be channeled towards them, but everyone seems to have remained in the same drilled boat that enters the water .
