For 24 hours, Albania has been under the "power" of rain. The Military Meteorological Service predicts that for the weekend our country will be affected by mainly unstable atmospheric conditions as a result of the periphery of a strong storm that has not only covered our country but also a large part of Europe.
In this way, for Saturday from the first hours of the 24-hour until noon, the weather is predicted with dense clouds and continuous rain and low and mostly moderate intensity in the form of thunderstorms.
In short-term periods, the precipitation will be of high intensity in the form of heavy downpours and storms accompanied by strong electrical discharges and hail. After noon, the weather will alternate between clear and cloudy with the latter, which will be accompanied by low-intensity rain or short-term thunderstorms.
For Sunday, the weather starts with alternating clear and cloudy skies, with the latter more pronounced in the northwest and southwest. In the afternoon in the north-west and south-west area occasional rains of low and medium intensity in the form of thunderstorms.
It is worth noting that for Sunday, very intense and problematic wind is expected mainly along the coastline and valley areas. The wind is expected to blow with the main direction from the south quadrant and an average speed of 3-12 m/s, while with intense wind gusts of 15-25 m/s accompanied by high waves in seas of force 5-7.
