Dolce & Gabbana will no longer use animal fur in its collections starting

Dolce & Gabbana has announced today that it will give up the use of animal fur in its collections starting this year.

The Milan fashion house joins other luxury brands including Armani, Gucci, Prada and Moncler, in following the guidelines set by the 'Fur Free Alliance', a network of animal rights groups worldwide.

"Dolce & Gabbana is working towards a more sustainable future in which the use of animal fur can not be considered," Dolce & Gabbana's marketing director Fedele Usai said in a statement.

Italy has banned fur cultivation from this year, joining about 20 countries that have banned or restricted fur cultivation over the past two decades.
