Murder of 19-year-old by husband in Greece / Caroline's parents gain full custody of granddaughter
Caroline Crouch's parents have gained full custody of their niece Lydia. Greek media report that the little girl will now live with her grandparents, in Caroline's childhood home. The decision was made the day before by the Greek Court.
Caroline Crouch was killed on May 11 by her husband Babis Anagnostopoulos in front of the girl. The 33-year-old with the pilot profession organized the murder scheme as if a robbery had taken place and that the robbers had killed the 19-year-old.
But a few weeks later he confessed to the crime after being confronted by police evidence. The 33-year-old is expected to be sentenced to life in prison, while Lydia will live with Caroline's grandparents in Alonnisos, where they currently live. Meanwhile, the parents of Babis, the perpetrator of the murder, will be able to meet their granddaughter according to the court determinations, five times a month.
"Now our intention is to baptize Lydia in the Greek Orthodox Church, as Caroline was baptized, in the small chapel near the cemetery where Caroline was buried ," Lydia's grandmother said after the final court decision.
As the grandfather added: 'Lydia is fine and just like her mother, she is becoming more beautiful day by day. It is now growing with confidence '.
