Video / 126 passengers on board, the plane catches fire while landing in Miami. Three injured
A commercial airliner has crashed while landing at Miami International Airport. The landing gear has suffered a defect which has brought the flame to the front of the aircraft.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and its Dominican Republic-based airline Red Air said there were 126 passengers on board and 10 crew members on the flight arriving from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Some people were injured.
The NTSB has recovered the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder, known as the black box, and will ship them to a lab in Washington, DC, this week. Investigators will also enter the inside of the plane and then relocate to another location for further examination.
"I thought I was going to die," said Garcia, a passenger.
The 3 injured with minor injuries were taken to hospital.
