Donald Trump has criticized the opening ceremony of last week's Olympic Games in Paris, describing it as "disgraceful".
"I thought the opening ceremony was a disgrace, actually. It was embarrassing," the former president told Fox.
Trump added: "We are not going to have a Last Supper as they (the French) portrayed it." I thought it was terrible. Look, I'm very open-minded, but I thought what they did was a shame."
The organizers of the Olympic Games have apologized after online criticism that the opening ceremony was a mockery of Christians.
"The Last Supper was not my inspiration for the scene with the drag queens at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. I think it was clear that it was about Dionysus lying on the table at a great pagan festival, associated with the Olympian gods, Olympus, the Olympic spirit."
On the other hand, the organizers of the games said: "If anyone felt offended, we apologize!".
