Rainstorm in France, one victim and 15 injured are reported

France has been invaded by heavy rains and storms, causing chaos and even casualties on the streets. A woman lost her life and 15 people were injured, two of them in serious condition, as a result of a strong storm that hit most of France last night.
Lightning also struck the Eiffel Tower, but thankfully without causing casualties or property damage.
Residents of southwestern France posted footage of a volley the size of tennis balls and photos of flooded highways.
Thousands of families were left without electricity. Flights from Paris Orly Airport were temporarily suspended causing delays at Charles de Gaulle Airport.
According to French authorities, this is the first time in the last twenty years that the storm has affected such a large area.
