Stoltenberg: Turkey's concerns about the membership of Finland and Sweden

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has called Turkey's concerns and its opposition to Finland and Sweden's applications for NATO membership acceptable and legitimate.

"These are legitimate concerns. "This is about terrorism, this is about arms exports," Stoltenberg told a joint news conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto.

Stoltenberg added that no NATO ally has suffered more terrorist attacks than Turkey, and therefore its concerns should be taken seriously.
