Albania assists Israel in secret evacuation of 167 Afghan refugees
The humanitarian group IsraAID coordinated the evacuation of 125 vulnerable Afghans through Albania earlier this month, reports the Jerusalem Post .
The evacuation group included judges, professional cyclists, journalists, TV presenters, human rights activists, relatives of Afghan diplomats, artists, law enforcement officers, scientists and more.
They arrived in Albania after being evacuated from Afghanistan, after the United States left the country in August after the Taliban invaded Kabul and took power.
In September, IsraAID participated in the evacuation of 42 Afghan women and girls in the United Arab Emirates.
Refugees are expected to relocate to places like Canada, France and Switzerland, IsraAID said.
