NATO Secretary General warns of years of war in Ukraine
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has warned Western allies to prepare for a multi-year war in Ukraine as Russian forces intensify their attacks on Ukrainian positions in the east of the country.
Stoltenberg called for continued support for Ukraine. For the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag he stressed that the supply of the latest weapons to Ukrainian troops would increase the possibility of liberating the eastern Donbas region from Russian control.
"We have to prepare for the fact that it may take years. "We must not relinquish our support for Ukraine." "Even if the costs are high, not only for military support, but also because of rising energy and food prices."
