Pope Francis falls, Vatican: There are fractures and bruises

The Vatican press office has announced that Pope Francis has suffered several fractures and bruises after falling this morning while at the Santa Marta residence.
The Pope reportedly injured his right forearm, which doctors have placed in a cast as a precaution.
This is the second incident in just one month, after on December 7, 2024, Pope Francis hit his chin on his bedside table, which caused a large hematoma on his face.
Despite the injury, Pope Francis held the various scheduled sessions.
