The city in China sinks under water, 12 dead
Henan Province in China is covered by water. Experts say this is the most intense rain that has fallen in the last 1 thousand years.
In Zhengzhou, a city of over 12 million people on the banks of the Yellow River, 12 people died on a flooded subway line, while more than 500 were evacuated.
The subway turned into a swimming pool in which you would have to swim. The cold has further complicated the situation.
"The water reached my chest. "I was really scared, but the most terrible thing was not the water, but the air that was always less in the cabin", wrote a survivor on social networks.
From Saturday evening until late Tuesday, 617.1 millimeters of rain flooded almost the entire city.
Buses, trains and subways have been suspended, and many flights have been delayed or canceled.
